How long does it take to experience the Tiny Homes Carnival?

A special content program will be created for the Main Stage on Saturday and Sunday so it really depends on what you want to see and experience but if you allow a couple of hours that should be fine …or stay for a picnic lunch! Follow us on social for content updates.


What is the difference between a 2-day Pass and a General Ticket?


You can purchase 2 types of tickets to enter the Tiny Homes Carnival.
 

A 2-day pass is purchased that allows you full Saturday and Sunday access, with entry subject to carnival capacity.

A General Ticket provides you entry to the exhibition on the day you book. Please note that entry is subject to exhibition capacity.

Tickets available oat the door will be $45 and only available as a One Day Pass. Transactions are Card Only.

Is this event suitable for children?


Yes–The Tiny Homes Carnival is a great day out for the whole family, all ages can explore and discover

 

Does the event cater to people with physical accessibility needs?


Yes, provision has been made to allow people with mobility requirements access to the Event Area. Although due to the nature of the event being on a grass arena and the nature of the exhibiting Tiny Houses, it cannot be guaranteed that all exhibits will be wholly accessible. If you have any queries or require specific assistance, please get in touch.

 

Limited Accessible Parking will also be available. Please get in touch to register your details and reserve parking.

 

Is photography permitted in the carnival?

Yes but no drones will be allowed on the premises.

Can I take my pram or stroller into the carnival?


Yes, but subject to security screening prior to entry into the exhibition

 

Are food and drinks permitted in the carnival?
 

Yes, you can bring your own however we will have a range of delicious food and drink vendors on site.

 

Can I bring my backpack or larger items into the event with me?


Yes, however all bags are subject to security screening prior to entry into the event.

 

Can I enter and exit the event more than once with my ticket?


No. Tickets are for one entry per person only. Once your ticket has been scanned upon entry it is no longer valid for admission at other times.

Can I buy tickets to the event on the day?


Tickets can be purchased on site at the venue box office which opens at 9 am each day and closes approximately 1 hour before the exhibition closes but it’s much cheaper to buy your tickets well in advance as there will be a surcharge for tickets purchased on the day.

 

Can I bring my dog to the event?


Yes, however dogs must remain on leash at all times and owners must pick up after them.

What are the hours of the event?


Gates will open at 9.30am and close at 5pm with main stage activity from 10am.

St Ives Showground Information


Located in the leafy suburbs of Sydney, nestled between the bustling city and the scenic North Shore. St Ives Showgrounds is a peaceful sanctuary that defines mixing nature with modern urban life.

 

Is there Parking available?


There will be very limited, free on-site parking, so car-pooling is encouraged.


What’s the best way to get there?

 

Getting there by Car:

It will be an estimated 30 – 45 minutes drive from Sydney city center. Due to the large volume of visitors, there will be very limited, free on-site parking, so car-pooling is encouraged.


Getting there by Train/Bus:


Gordon train station (serviced by the T1 and T9 train lines) is a 12 minute drive for those who would like to Taxi/Uber from there to the venue.

A pickup/drop off point will be located near the Carnival entrance.

 

196/197 Public Bus Routes leaves from Gordon Train Station every 15 minutes, which is a 26 minute journey from Gordon Train Station and stops directly outside St Ives Showgrounds.


Shuttle service:

Shuttle Service will run on both Saturday and Sunday from Werona Street outside Gordon Station to St Ives Showground on the hour from 9am - 1pm (returning on the half hour from St Ives Showgrounds back to Gordon Station).

From 2pm - 6pm on both days, the shuttle bus will run from St Ives Showgrounds to Gordon Station on the hour (returning on the half hour from Gordon Station back to St Ives Showgrounds).
